gangs continue to control port au prince, the school however is safe and the children attending and h appy. i receive a what’s app message about every 3 days and photos of children accompany most. the school is thriving, we have just sent monies for two new classrooms ($800 for both).Shiesson and Steef have sent recent photos illustrating the new cement block wall around the school for better security. We have also begun buying mosquito netting to prevent malaria among the children which is a large problem in Haiti. Lastly, we are looking into solarizing the school to begin the infrastructure for a computer school. Gifts towards this would be appreciated.

The gangs in Port au Prince have entered the neighborhood of the Mike Curtis School. Therefore the school has been shut down the last two weeks. Staff continue to receive their salaries and most of the children have received daily food from the school kitchen, however, some families have left the area at least temporarily. A sad month for the school children.
